How to get partnership with a larger company / distributor

A short entry based on a discussion with a CEO of a Snowsports wearable device company – which I feel will be very relevant in my work.

Two reasons a large company will partner with a smaller one:

  1. greed
  2. fear

The Steps

  1. Have a prototype
  2. If the leaders are doing something that is scaring the smaller companies, you have found your leverage point
    1. In this case, the larger companies were developing wearables, which the smaller company had not started
  3. Approach the smaller company with your offering as the solution to their probelm
  4. Make a partnership!
